Job Description:

I look for the best companies to feature in the magazine. My job is to ensure my two channels showcase the best in their fields globally.

Bio:

I was born in 1963. I've done a number of different jobs, including working with Bernard Matthews when he was expanding his company in the eighties. I was a stationery buyer for many years and at one point I was the UK Government's rubber stamp expert! I found myself working in publishing alongside Glen White in June 2000 & I've been involved on the research side of his companies ever since. The most unusual article I ever had published was an interview with the Controller of the Royal Mint! It's an interesting job & I've talked to & worked with some good people.

Favourite Thing:

Dexter and Snowy, my dogs plus Bilbo, Pippin & Frodo, my cats.

Pet Hate:

Reality TV shows. I really cannot see the point of them, any of them. I'm not too keen on overly earnest website profiles either!

Special Talent:

I'm a Doctor of Zoology in the outside world & I run a zoology website of my own! I also play the violin incredibly badly.

What makes me happy:

Steak & Kidney pudding, smoking my pipe, decent red wine, and walking my dogs.

My worst habit:

Leaving piles of books next to my chair & my desk at home (which usually wind up with a cat sat on them!)

Person I would most like to meet and why:

Well, I've already met both Gerald Durrell the conservationist & Sir David Attenborough, the broadcaster who are both boyhood heroes of mine. I'd like to have met Dr. Louis Leakey, who was an archaeologist working in the Olduvai Gorge in Tanzania & made some amazing fossil discoveries there.
