G-Resources Group Provides a Sustainable Model for Mining
Hong Kong-based G-Resources Group shares industry secrets with Energy Digital, and provides a sustainable model for mining in Indonesia.
(San Diego, CA, June 10, 2010)— Peter Albert, Chief Executive Officer of G-Resources Group details the company’s flagship Martabe project in the North Sumatra Province of Indonesia which they acquired in July of last year. The site, which contains over 140 million tons of ore, will yield over 250,000 – 300,000 ounces of gold and 2-3 million ounces of silver once the project is completed. In an exclusive interview with Energy Digital, Albert discusses G-Resources Group’s business model, which has helped the company succeed in the areas in which they work.
G-Resources is more than a gold mining corporation; the company works exhaustively to incorporate the needs and goals of the community into their mining projects, employing local knowledge and man-power before hiring outside of the community. These long-term connections help the local businesses sustain the community long after the mine has been closed.
G-Resources aims to become a leading Asia-based multinational gold-mining corporation. In July?2009, the Company successfully raised HK$4.5 billion to complete the acquisition and construction of the Martabe gold-silver project in which the Company owns 95% stake. Production is scheduled to commence in 2011 with an annual production capacity of approximately 250,000 ounces of gold and 2 to 3 million ounces of silver.
